Tom's Walk to Euro 2024 - 507 miles in 16 days

500 Miles, 16 Days, 2 shin pads and too many packs of butter.

After 16 days, countless steps, and a diet that included far too many packs of butter, our mate Tom has officially completed his 507-mile journey from Manchester to the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. His mission? To support the England team in their first game of the Euro 2024 tournament against Serbia.

Tom set off on this epic adventure with two shin pads and an unwavering determination to be there in person for England's opening game. Along the way, he captured the hearts of many who followed his progress on Instagram, where he shared daily updates and snapshots of his journey.

"England’s opening game of Euro 2024 kicks off against Serbia on the 16th of June. It is my dream to be at the Veltins Arena in 16 days time to support the lads. I hope to travel the 507-mile journey on foot (excluding the section between Dover and Calais where I will catch the ferry as I have never been the strongest of swimmers). Good luck lads, hopefully see you in Germany," Tom shared before setting off.

As Tom walked through the stunning landscapes of England, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany, he relied on Sprayway's high-performance gear to keep him going. His essential items included:

Cape Wrath Men's Jacket: Lightweight and built with GORE-TEX Paclite Plus, this jacket is the epitome of Sprayway’s ‘Function First’ ethos. It protected Tom from the unpredictable weather and ensured he stayed dry and comfortable throughout his journey.

Storr Micro Snap: This ultra-light fleece made from warm and quick-drying Polartec® Micro provided the perfect boost of warmth for those early morning starts and chilly evenings.

Tom’s journey wasn’t just about the miles. It was about the spirit of adventure and, as he put it, "to have a laugh." His infectious enthusiasm and determination inspired everyone who followed his progress.
